NAME
autodiskmount - automatically mount and initialize optical disks
SYNOPSIS
/usr/etc/autodiskmount
DESCRIPTION
Autodiskmount
is a daemon started by the
/etc/rc
script and used by the Workspace Manager to automatically mount and
initialize optical disks when they are inserted into an optical drive.
All of the user interaction is handled by the Workspace Manager.
If an optical disk is inserted when
autodiskmount
is not running the disk is ejected.
To allow a UNIX program to use an optical disk that hasn't been inserted
yet, first run the program and wait for an alert panel to appear
instructing you to insert the disk.
If an optical disk is already inserted into an optical drive when
the system is booted, but that disk is not the root device, then
autodiskmount
will automount it when the Workspace Manager starts up after you login.
